Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 900 g yellow potatoes, scrubbed and quartered
  • 120 g yellow onion, diced
  • 340 g smoked sausage, sliced
  • 2 can cut green beans, drained 14.5 oz each
  • 113 g unsalted butter 1 stick
  • 1 packet Italian dressing seasoning mix 0.6 oz
Seasonings
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika or regular paprika

Equipment

  • Slow Cooker

Method

  1. Place the quartered potatoes into the bottom of your slow cooker. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Add in the diced onions and give everything a quick toss to coat.
  2. Top the potatoes with sliced smoked sausage. Add the drained green beans over that, then sprinkle the Italian dressing seasoning evenly across the surface.
  3. Place the full stick of butter right on top of the layers — no need to stir.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or high for 3–4 hours until the potatoes are fork-tender and the flavors have blended beautifully.
  5. Gently stir everything together before serving to mix in all that buttery flavor. Serve warm, as-is, or with a slice of crusty bread to soak up the juices.

Notes

For a richer flavor, consider adding some shredded cheese on top before serving. This dish pairs perfectly with crusty bread or a fresh green salad.
