Ingredients
  

Oreo Truffles
  • 1 package Oreos 36 total, 14-oz
  • 1 package cream cheese 8-oz, softened
  • 16 oz chocolate white chocolate or semi-sweet
  • 5 tsp shortening Crisco recommended, for thinning chocolate

Method
 

  1. Add all 36 Oreos to a food processor or blender. Pulse until they are fine crumbs.
  2. Cut the cream cheese into several pieces and add to the food processor. Pulse until a soft mixture forms.
  3. Shape the mixture into 1 inch balls and line them up on a baking sheet. Freeze until hardened, at least 30 minutes.
  4. In a medium bowl, melt the chocolate in the microwave in 30 second increments, stirring each time.
  5. Dip each Oreo ball in chocolate using a fork or toothpick. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment.
  6. Sprinkle with Oreo crumbs or sprinkles if desired. Freeze until the chocolate shell is firm.
