Ingredients
  

Cake
  • 432 g Red Velvet Cake Mix 1 box
  • 295 ml water listed on cake box
  • 3 pieces eggs listed on cake box
  • 120 ml vegetable oil listed on cake box
Frosting
  • 454 g cream cheese frosting 1 package or homemade
Coating
  • 454 g white chocolate candy coating or almond bark
  • 15 pieces Red Candy Melts optional for red stripes on top

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Bake the cake according to directions on the package.
  2. Let it cool completely. For quicker cooling, place in freezer for 45 minutes or overnight.
  3. Crumble the cooled cake in a bowl using your hands.
  4. Stir in frosting into crumbled cake, ½ cup at a time, until the mixture holds together.
  5. Roll mixture into balls or discs and place on a baking sheet. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  6. Melt white chocolate candy coating as per package instructions and dip each cake bite in it.
  7. Place coated bites onto a pan or wax paper to set. Refrigerate if desired.
  8. Melt red candy melts and drizzle on top of set cake bites using a resealable bag.
