Valentine Oreo Truffles

These delightful truffles are perfect for Valentine's Day, combining creamy cheese with the rich flavors of Oreos and chocolate.

Ingredients
  

Truffles
  • 224 g cream cheese reduce to 112g if using double stuffed Oreos
  • 36 pieces Oreo cookies regular or double-stuffed
  • 340 g milk chocolate chips
  • 85 g white chocolate chips
  • to taste Valentine heart sprinkles for decoration

Equipment

  • Food Processor
  • Double boiler
  • Parchment Paper

Method
 

  1. Place the Oreos in the food processor & pulse until you have medium-fine crumbs.
  2. Add the cream cheese & pulse until fully combined.
  3. Take tablespoon size portions & roll into balls & place on parchment lined baking sheet.
  4. Freeze a minimum of 2 hours but preferably overnight.
  5. Once the truffles are frozen, place the semi-sweet chocolate chips in a double boiler & melt over medium heat. Or you can microwave for 1-2 minutes at 50% power, stirring every 30 seconds.
  6. Take the truffles one by one & dip into the melted chocolate to coat & then return them to the baking sheet.
  7. Melt the white chocolate the same way you did the coating chocolate.
  8. Pipe the design over truffles & sprinkled with decorations before chocolate hardens.
  9. Immediately add a pinch of jimmies on top before the chocolate hardens.

Notes

Keep refrigerated and store in an airtight container to maintain freshness. These truffles are perfect for gifting or enjoying as a delightful treat.
